About the place
A viewpoint on the rocks above Phaeng Waterfall. The trail starts at the foot of the falls and climbs over steps and roots, about fifteen minutes up. At the top: the green middle of the island and, on a clear day, Samui. Usually few people.
There is no separate ticket: the viewpoint is inside the national park, and the waterfall's ticket covers it.
Getting there
About 5 km from Thong Sala pier to the car park at Phaeng Waterfall: take the Chaloklum road, then follow the sign to the park. Then 15 minutes uphill on foot.
Good to know
- Park entry is 100 baht for foreigners, 50 for children, cash; the park is open until about 4:30 pm
- Bring water and shoes with a good grip: the climb is steep
