Israeli psychotherapist to be deported from Thailand for inappropriate behaviour
Authorities on Koh Phangan are revoking the visa of a 33-year-old Israeli woman and placing her on the blacklist after her conduct was deemed inappropriate. The decision was made by a joint committee reviewing the behaviour of foreigners, chaired by Koh Phangan district chief Phaisit Thongchoem.
The committee found that the woman’s actions fell under offences that can serve as grounds for visa revocation. Ashual Enav is now banned from staying in Thailand. This is part of stepped-up monitoring by the Interior Ministry and local authorities of how foreigners behave on the island.
The deportation was triggered by complaints of rude, aggressive and inappropriate behaviour. According to official information and reports from local authorities, she was accused of using offensive language and threatening those around her and local service representatives.
As a result of these incidents, the committee reviewing the behaviour of foreigners decided to revoke her visa and place her on the blacklist.
